2008 Joint Educational Conference

Save the date for the 2008 Joint Educational Conference.  This year the conference will take place  on Septemember 24-25, 2008 at the Holiday Inn in Manitowoc located at 4601 Calumet Avenue (www.ichotelsgroup.com).


Trust for America's Health Report -
Trust for America's Health released their report Shortchaning America's Health: A State-By-State Look at How Federal Public Health Dollars are Spent - 2008, which looks at federal public health funding on a state-by-state level.  The news release and a link to the report can be found here.


WEHA Spring Educational Conference-
Environmental and Public Health Puzzles: Don't be Fooled

The conference, on April 1-2, 2008 at the Holiday Inn in Stevens Point, was a success with many interesting topics discussed from an array of professionals.

Choosing Environmental Health As A Career?

    Environmental Health is a field providing a wide variety of employement oportunities.  Trained professionals in this career provide research, technical information, inspection and consultation services for many industries and agencies.  Environmental health specialists may be employed in local, state, or federal health-releated agencies.  Others may work in food processing, occupational health, environmental monitoring firms, and insurance companies.
